Submitting Your Film

  1. Print a copy of the official submission form
  2. Submit the entry form and your film to your schools multimedia department or mail your entry form and film to the following address:

Any film that does not adhere to these rules will not be accepted.

The SHORTCUTS Film Festival is an all-ages event; all material must be suitable for family viewing. This means no objectionable content. We are, however, looking for entertaining films with high concept.

  1. All entries must be received by Friday April 11, 2010.
  2. All entries must be less than 10 minutes in length.
  3. All entries must be free of profanity.
  4. All entries must be free of terror and gore.
  5. All entries must be free of excessive violence.
  6. All entries must be free of sexual content or innuendo.
  7. All entries must be submitted on one of the following formats:
    • MiniDV
    • DVD
  8. Submissions will only be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided, please don’t send your master.
  9. An entry form must be completed for each entry selected to be showcased at the festival. If an entry form is not provided before the event, the entry will be disqualified.
  10. Although this is an amateur film festival, we are looking for films with great concept that add to the mood of The SHORTCUTS Film Festival. If you send in a poorly produced home movie of you and your friends goofing off, it will probably not be accepted.
  11. The SHORTCUTS evaluation panel reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason. The SHORTCUTS evaluation panel is not under any obligation to give any feedback on entries or any reason for rejecting entries.
